Prof. Rafael Audino Zambelli
Food Engineer (UFC), Specialist in Food Science with emphasis on Fruit and Vegetable Technology (UFPel), Master’s and PhD in Food Science and Technology (UFC). Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Food Engineering at UFC, serving as Head of the Department and Coordinator of the Food Biomaterials Laboratory (LBMA), where he conducts research in the area of food biomaterials, development of new products and processes for the food industry, focusing on functional foods and prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases. He is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) and Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee on Biodiversity at UFC (CATBio-UFC). He is a Member of the Brazilian Association of Engineering Education (ABENGE), the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological & Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES), the Advisory Council of the UFC Technological Park, the Working Group for the Implementation Project of the 23 MW Photovoltaic Solar Plant at the Vale do Curu Experimental Farm of CCA-UFC, the Structural Teaching Core (NDE) of the Food Engineering Course at UFC, and the Working Group to study Haff Disease of the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher Education of the State of Ceará (SECITECE). He is the Faculty Advisor for Conalimentos Junior Enterprise of the Food Engineering Course. He supervised 03 projects approved at the Ceará Inventor Salon (2019), winning the Silver Medal with the project “Pasta for diabetics”. He is the creator of the Extension Project Food Innovation HUB at UFC.
