Prof. Elisabeth Mary Cunha da Silva

Holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceará, a Master’s degree in Food Technology from the Federal University of Ceará, a Ph.D. in Food Science from The Queen’s University of Belfast, UK, and a Post-doctorate in Animal Production and Meat Quality from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. She worked at ANVISA from 2000 to 2005, serving as a senior technical officer in the food and laboratory area. Currently, she is an Associate Professor IV and Coordinator of the Meat and Fish Laboratories at the Federal University of Ceará. She has experience in Food Science and Technology, with an emphasis on Animal Products, working mainly on the following topics: chemical, biochemical, and technological aspects of meat and fish processing; edible packaging; food safety; laboratory quality systems; and quality control in the food industry.
