The PPGCTA
The Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology (PPGCTA) at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) is a consolidated academic and research program dedicated to training high-level human resources. Offering Master’s and Doctoral degrees, the program’s central mission is not only to train qualified professionals for higher education teaching and scientific research but also to drive innovation in the region.

History
The tradition of food research at UFC began in 1958, with the creation of the Institute of Rural Technology linked to the former School of Agronomy. The Master’s degree, however, was only formally established in 1975, while the Doctoral degree began in 2009.
