Academic Biography

He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1997), and a Master’s and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2002). Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering at UFC.

🔬 Research Themes (Food Eng. and Chemistry Interface):

  • Food drying.
  • Non-thermal technologies (Cold plasma, Ultrasound, UV Light) for sensory and nutritional improvement.
  • Extraction of bioactive compounds.
  • Utilization of food industry residues.
