Prof. Socorro Vanesca Frota Gaban
She holds a B.Sc. in Nutrition from the State University of Ceará (2001), a Master’s degree in Physiological Sciences from the State University of Ceará (2002), and a PhD in Nuclear Biosciences from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). During her PhD, she completed a 7-month internship at the Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg, France (2004), as a scholarship holder of the CAPES PDEE program. She completed a postdoctoral position at the University of Strasbourg, France, through the CAPES-COFECUB program (in the first year) and the Lefoulon Delalande Foundation and CNRS (in the second year), from August 2005 to September 2007. Currently, she is a professor in the Undergraduate Food Engineering Course and the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology at UFC. She is the Coordinator of the Functional Nutrition Laboratory of the Department of Food Engineering and a Member of the Human Research Ethics Committee at UFC. (Text provided by the author)
